Video Submissions and Testimonials Terms & Conditions

By submitting your video contribution to School Governors’ Awareness Day, you allow the School Governors’ Awareness Day website and supporters of School Governors’ Awareness Day to use the material in your video in any way they may reasonably choose via any channel chosen (e.g. social media), without costs or charges. Details of event supporters are found on the website www.schoolgovernorsday.co.uk.

It is not guaranteed that your video submission or testimonial will be used as part of the promotion or as programme content for School Governors’ Awareness Day 2022.

Any copyright in your video will remain with you and this permission is not exclusive, so you can continue to use the material you contribute in any way including allowing others to use it. School Governors’ Awareness Day and its supporters hold the right to change or edit your video for operational and editorial reasons ahead of publication.

You confirm that your submission is your own original work, is not defamatory or unlawful and does not infringe anyone else’s rights (including privacy rights) and that it complies with these Terms & Conditions. You also confirm that your submission is made in your capacity as a school governor, and that such contribution does not unfairly promote or further any activities and has not been contributed for commercial gain. You also confirm that you have the consent of anyone who is identifiable in your submission.

You allow School Governors’ Awareness Day and its supporters to contact you for administrative or verification purposes in relation to your video or testimonial.

We ask you to provide some personal information as part of the submission process. Disclosure of this information shall be subject to terms set out in the Privacy Policy found on the School Governors’ Awareness Day website. Strictly Education Ltd as administrator of School Governors’ Awareness Day will keep your personal information secure and will only use it for the purposes specified in the Privacy Policy. All personal information held by Strictly Education Ltd will be held in accordance with the terms of applicable data protection laws.

If you do not want to grant permission to use your video submissions in accordance with the Terms & Conditions, please do not share with or submit your videos or testimonials to us. All submissions are moderated for suitability and acceptability. You are entitled to revoke your permission at any time, by emailing hello@schoolgovernorsday.co.uk
